Located in the center of Choulex, this residential house underwent a complete renovation. Indeed, the team conducted this project with deep respect for the building’s original substance. Thus, they successfully adapted it to contemporary daily uses.
The roof now benefits from high-performance insulation. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates new skylights alongside photovoltaic and thermal solar panels. This intervention skillfully balances energy efficiency with architectural discretion.
Inside, the house spans three distinct floors. The ground floor is entirely dedicated to living spaces. Next, the first floor forms a spacious parental suite. Finally, the second floor accommodates the children’s rooms. Consequently, the project redefines the interior uses while maintaining the original layout.
Moreover, craftsmen carefully created new window openings in the rubble stone walls. They strictly respected traditional skills and the strong heritage character. This action beautifully enhances the noble material and provides much more generous natural light.
Today, the building reveals incredibly fluid and warm living spaces. Each architectural intervention fits perfectly and elegantly within the existing structure.
