PRESINGE HOUSE

Located in Presinge, this project consists of the transformation and extension of an existing house. The intervention was conceived as an opportunity to improve the global building’s energy performance while enhancing the quality and versatility of the living spaces.

The design approach aims to move the house toward a more energy self sufficient operation through the integration of contemporary technical solutions, while maintaining respect for the architectural character of the existing elements of the house.

The new addition establishes a dialogue between existing and new elements. The added volumes extend the geometry of the house in a restrained and coherent manner, while modern technologies contribute to increased comfort and improved energy efficiency.

The extension also provides a generous polyvalent space designed to accommodate the various events regularly hosted by the clients, including seminars, concerts and small gatherings. This flexible surface allows the house to function not only as a private residence but also as a place of exchange and cultural activity.

The extension thus becomes a natural continuation of the existing building, combining architectural continuity, technical innovation and a sustainable improvement of the house’s overall performance.
