About This Project

Located in the Val d’Anniviers, this family house is designed with careful attention to site integration. Set on a mountain plot partially shaped by historic agricultural terraces, it follows the existing topography, aligning with the natural steps of the terrain.

The project is based on simple choices: a compact structure capable of enduring the seasons without artifice. Surfaces remain minimally transformed, designed to age gracefully with the surrounding alpine and village landscape.

The house unfolds vertically around a central staircase that organizes the entire layout. Like an alpine plant rooted in the slope, the architecture follows an upward progression, seeking light and gradually opening to the surrounding views.

The interior is clearly organized: a cross-through living space where kitchen, dining, and living areas flow seamlessly. The atmosphere is both bright and sheltered.

This project prioritizes function over gesture. It seeks the essential: building with precision, living in a way that suits the mountain context, and lasting over time in harmony with the site’s natural balance.
