About This Project

Created in the 17th century, the Marsillon estate in Troinex is a remarkable example of the Geneva countryside. The late 18th-century manor house is bordered to the northwest by its agricultural outbuildings, which run along the perimeter wall.

The main challenge of the project was to restore and consolidate the structural framework. To achieve this, we decided to introduce black metal profiles at the most critical points. This subtle intervention enhances and accentuates the traditional, centuries-old wooden structure and trusses, while adding a contemporary touch.

Metal French windows are inserted into the old openings on the first floor.

Spaces have been completely reorganized, and new platforms have been created in the attic.

Inside, a warm, authentic atmosphere revives the spirit of the place. Spaces benefit from generous ceiling heights that reveal the original exposed purlins. The contemporary staircase interacts with the existing structure and blends seamlessly with the history of the site.
