About This Project

Created in the 17th century, the Marsillon estate in Troinex is a remarkable example of the Geneva countryside. The late 18th-century manor house is set in a vast wooded park, bordered to the north-west by its agricultural outbuildings, which run along the surrounding wall.

A complete inventory was carried out to decide which elements should be preserved and which should be restored to their original state. The stone walls were restored and repointed, and the cladding was restored to its original color. Ornamented doors are renovated and reused as shutters, while joinery is repaired or replaced.

While the focus on the exterior was on the formal restoration of the façade’s modenature, the interior underwent a profound reallocation. Spaces were completely reorganized, and new platforms were created in the attic.

Inside, a warm, authentic atmosphere revives the spirit of the place. Spaces benefit from generous ceiling heights that reveal the original exposed purlins. The contemporary staircase interacts with the existing structure and blends seamlessly with the history of the site.
